Garden’s Legacy
I’m so grateful for the day I just had
The 8 in the car wasn’t really so bad.
And now the mountains...Oh, so grand!
Your inverted version of the sea and the sand.
All around me green arms up-stretched in Your praise
Cajoling my heart to rest under their gaze.
The bald eagle, too, gives a shout
causing dusk’s deer to scatter about.
May I tend this great garden You’ve given to me
so the Grands of my Grands will be able to see
this splendid array of Your majesty.
